A rapid assessment is underway aimed at tracing the authenticity of increased reports of teenage pregnancies in the country.
Plan International Malawi is among organisations that have launched an assessment on the development.
Reports indicate that since the closure of schools due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the country has recorded over 10,000 teenage pregnancies.
Mangochi, Machinga, Chitipa and Thyolo are some of the districts thatg have recorded a higher number of teenage preganancies since January to July this year
