Unknown criminals on Thursday night invaded Mvera Chipiku Stores in Dedza and went away with assorted items.
Dowa Police publicist Sub-inspector Gladson M’bumpha confirmed of the development in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS).
M’bumpha said that the criminals are alleged to have stolen cigarettes and other property.
The criminals are said to have tampered with the cash chest by means of hooking.
M’bumpha said “information gathered indicates that the unknown criminals were using a black saloon motor vehicle”.
Meanwhile law enforcers have launched a manhunt for the suspected thieves.
