A bride-to-be has committed suicide by hanging at the house of her bridegroom-to-be in Kasungu district.
The incident has occurred at Chinkhoma Trade Centre where the lady aged 29, Shakirah Wenga, travelled from Karonga to visit the boyfriend working at the Engineers Battalion of the Malawi Defence Force.
Kasungu Police spokesman, Harry Namwaza, says the lady was found hanging to the roof of a bedroom last evening.
Police is yet to establish the motive. Wenga hailed from Kayuni village in the area of Traditional Authority Kyungu in Karonga.
