Health rights activist George Jobe is commending President Lazarus Chakwera for including HIV and AIDS issues in his State of the Nation Address (SONA).
In the address in Parliament last Friday, Chakwera stressed that his administration will implement a National Strategic Plan for the HIV response.
This strategy is aimed at achieving the 95-95-95 coverage targets for diagnosis, treatment, and viral suppression by 2025.
There have been concerns that the government’s focus and emphasis have shifted to the coronavirus pandemic disregarding other diseases.
