Man in Cooler for Raping 85 Year Old Woman

Police in Dowa have arrested a 25-year-old man for allegedly raping an 85-year-old woman.
In a statement, police spokesperson Gladson M’bumpha identifies the suspect as Thoko Andrew from Kaziputa Village in the area of T.A. Msakambewa in the district.
This incident comes days after law enforcers revealed that the district had registered a 14.2 percent increase in crime.
According to statistics, 270 criminal cases were recorded from January to August 2020 compared to 236 cases during the same period last year.
