Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Ward Councillor For Bangwe-M’thandizi Ward in Blantyre, Issac Jomo Osman has asked President Lazarus Chakwera to intervene on the Limbe Depot leadership wrangle.

DPP Cadre Osman, who is also the former chairperson for minibus call boys in Blantyre, made the appeal recently in an exclusive interview.

The appeal follows clashes between Limbe depot DPP and Tonse alliance members regarding who should oversee minibus operations and associated services.

The super League side Ntopwa FC owner, Osman said flushing him and other DPP members out of Limbe Depot will negatively affect the lives of their family members and people who depend on them for survival.

“I want Chakwera to intervene and bail us out. Yes, l might have made mistakes in politics but sending me and my DPP friends out of Limbe depot is a death sentence to us,” said Osman.

He added: “ I was able to support Ntopwa Football Clubs through the little amounts I was getting from the depot now lam planning to disband the team because l don’t have money a decision which will affect of 200 households,”

Recently, concerned leadership of the Minibus Call boys and Association conducted demonstrations in Limbe over the similar issue.
