Police in Dowa are keeping in custody four people on allegations that they violently killed a 56-year-old man suspected to have been practising witchcraft.

Dowa Police Publicist Sub-inspector  has said  that the suspects are alleged to have killed Village Headman Gogo Kachiwaya by setting him on fire.

M’bumpha has identified the suspects as Saidi Billiot, 52, Gandali Chaima, 54 , Malikano Kachala, 20, all from Sasamba village and Zefinati Josamu, 48 from Kachiwaya village, Traditional Authority Chiwere in Dowa district.
