Leader of opposition Kondwani Nankhumwa has refuted reports that he held a meeting with the state president Lazarus Chakwera as reported earlier.

During weekly State House briefing, Director of Communications from the palace Sean Kampondeni told the media that president Chakwera met with Nankhumwa who is also the vice president from the south for the former ruling Democratic progressive Party (DPP).

Nankhumwa said he only bid the President goodbye alongside the rest of Parliament leadership following Thursday’s appearance in Parliament by the President to answer questions from members of the house.

State house is yet to comment.
