It was gathered that the tragic incident happened at about 9pm on Saturday, when the deceased had gone retrieve his charging phone from the phone charging center owned by Ayuba Isah at Inye in Ankpa Local government, Kogi State.
An eyewitness who saw the whole thing claimed that Enemona and Ayuba had a serious argument over the low amount of battery percentage the phone had and the price to be paid.
It was revealed that the deceased had refused to pay the normal amount for charging, since his phone battery didn’t charge completely.
The argument turned into a fisticuff, leading to the death of Enemona. Realizing what he had done, Ayuba abandoned the deceased and took to his heels.
When Ayuba could not be found, an angry mob destroyed his properties, burning down his family house in the process.
Hon. Abagwu Ibrahim, the senior Special Assistant on security matters, Ankpa Local Government Area to Kogi State, on Sunday, led security agents to scene to restore calm in the community.
Abagwu consoled the family of the deceased, while calling for peace to be restored. He noted that the assailant will be arrested and made to face the law for his actions.
