3-Year-Old Boy Mauled to Death by a Pitbull

A 3-year-old boy has died in South Africa after being attacked and mauled to death by a dog (Pitbull) at a residence in Glenwood, Pietermaritzburg, News24 reports.
According to the publication, the Netcare911 Paramedics responded to reports of a dog bite on Monday afternoon when the incident occurred.
“Reports from the scene indicate that a three year old male had sustained serious injuries after being mauled by a Pitbull,” Netcare911 spokesperson Shawn Herbst said in a statement.
He said the child was stabilized on scene and then rushed to hospital for further treatment but unfortunately he succumbed to the injuries.
