The Public Affairs Committee (PAC) has disclosed that it will not continue with the mediation talks it was facilitating between political leaders prior to the fresh presidential election.

PAC Executive Director Robert Phiri says this is because the political situation in the country is now stable.

The talks, which involved leaders of the major political parties and the Human Rights Defenders Coalition (HRDC), was aimed at finding solutions to the political impasse that followed last year’s disputed presidential poll.
