The Department of Immigration and Citizenship Services in the northern region has deported seven Burundian nationals for illegal entry.
Francis Chitambuli, who is Deputy Public Relations Officer said the department has also refered four Congolese to Dzaleka Refugee camp.
The eleven were intercepted on Monday at Phwezi Immigration Roadblock in Rumphi.
When they were asked to show their documents, they failed to do so citing they had entered into the country to seek refuge at Dzaleka Refugee camp in Dowa.
This development has come barely a few days after the department deported ten other illegal immigrants who were also intercepted at the same check point for illegal entry.
