The Malawi Postal Corporation (MPC) appeals for government support in coming out of its debt burden.

MPC has a debt burden of over K5 billion in default taxes to the Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA).

Postmaster General, Zacheus Meke has however expressed the need for the government to settle its arrears to the MPC which are totaling over K8 billion.

He stresses that the amount is what the government needed to pay the institution for over a period of 16 years as subvention.
