The Minibus Owners Association of Malawi has written Vice President Saulos Chilima for government to reform the public transport service.

This comes after efforts by the association to remove all touts across depots and streets, an act that recently led to a series of verbal wars between concerned sides.

The association’s General Secretary Coxley Kamange said they have written the Vice president on the matter as he is on the process of reforming the public sector.

Kamange has since indicated that they feel that their operations are heavily affected by unregistered touts whom the association wants to be removed from the streets.
