The Teachers Union of Malawi (TUM) indicates that it has not received any feedback from the government on its demand for risk allowances.

The Union gave the government a two week ultimatum, which ends on Saturday, to respond to and settle teachers’ petition of risk allowances following the reopening of schools.

According to TUM General Secretary Charles Kumchenga, they are still waiting for the government’s response on the matter.
