The community of Mhondiwa Village in Gokwe has been left open-mouthed following reports of a woman who keeps losing her underwear under mysterious circumstances every time she becomes intimate with her husband.

According to Jefason Mapande and his wife Ipainashe Makotore, they are now afraid to be intimate because they have lost 3 pairs of underwear which have mysteriously disappeared in the past.

This publication has learned that a troubled Mapande told local publication, B-Metro,

“The problem started in August this year. When we retired to bed my wife would remove her panty and place it on the chair in our bedroom hut but shockingly when we woke up in the morning it would have disappeared. She would turn things upside down in the house looking for it but she could not recover it,”

After initially suspecting that rats may have carried off the undergarment, the couple decided to be more circumspect about where they placed their undergarments. However, even when the panties had been carefully placed in the wardrobe, they were nowhere to be found when the couple finished being intimate.

This has led to Ipainashe refusing to sleep without her panties on, something her husband is not happy with.

“It meant she had to sleep wearing a panty and that made her sex life difficult as she was not comfortable with it,” he said.

The issue of the disappearing panties has caused a huge row within the family with Mapande’s wife and his sisters now at each other’s throats.

Mapande’s wife confronted her sisters-in-law but they vehemently denied ever taking her undergarments. Instead, they advised her to seek the services of a sangoma to expose the person behind the shenanigans.

However, Ipainashe refused the suggestion saying that she is a devout Christian who does not do such, leading the sisters-in-law to question why she is so reluctant.

The couple has since reported the case to the traditional leader, Chief Mkoka. The Chief confirmed the development saying,

“I can confirm that we are dealing with a strange case where Mapande’s wife’s undergarments disappeared. We have advised the family that we would look for a prophet who would come and expose the person who stole the underwear. The person who would have been found with them is the one who would pay for the services of the prophet.”
