The Blantyre City Council (BCC) has been challenged to come up with clear priorities for its activities in a bid to keep the city clean.
Minister of Environment, Nancy Tembo said this today when she met officials of the council.
The minister was touring the city to appreciate what the council is doing to manage the environment.
She therefore assured the city authorities and residents of government’s commitment to supporting their initiatives.
Currently, the city council says it needs about K 45 billion to have the city clean and manage all the dumping sites of solid and liquid disposal.
