Malawi Defence Force (MDF) Commander General Vincent Nundwe has received a sword of command from former MDF commander General Peter Namathanga.
The handover ceremony took place at Kamuzu Barracks in Lilongwe on Friday.
Speaking after receiving the sword of command Nundwe said he will continue to execute programmes introduced by his predecessor General Peter Namathanga to maintain MDFs professionalism.
President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera re-appointed Nundwe weeks with claims that he want to heal the pain at MDF.
Chakwera also promised to convene an MDF council to discuss the appointment of Deputy MDF Commander.
