Disgruntled citizens in Nkhata Bay and others who took part in interviews to be recruited as Disease Surveillance Assistants and other cadres at Nkhata Bay district hospital have taken to the streets demanding nullification of the process.
The people are dismayed with what they describe as the nepotistic nature of the recruitment process which has allegedly seen some officials lope in relatives, some as many as five.
The protesters are marching to the district commissioners office to deliver a petition which includes demands for the transferring of the officers in question.
