The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) is confident that it would speed up investigations of various cases following improved funding at the institution.
The bureau has been allocated about K5.2 billion in the proposed 2020/2021 national budget compared to K3.7 billion in the previous budget.
The ACB has since revealed plans to hire more legal and investigative experts in a quest to speed up justice in the face of criticism that the body takes long to investigate and prosecute cases of public interest.
Meanwhile, ACB Director General Reyneck Matemba insists that the bureau is going to win the battle against corruption in the country.
