South African musician Master KG and Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz will headline this year’s Sand Music Festival to be held at Sunbird Livingstonia in Salima.
Impakt Events Director Lucius Banda who is also Presidential Advisor on Arts confirmed of the development during media briefing on Tuesday.
According to Banda, this year’s festival will be held on October 30 to November 1, 2020.
The festival is this year celebrating its 10th anniversary.
The festival will also see local artists such as Janta, Wendy Harawa, Saint, Nepman and the Black Missionaries band perform.
Skeffa Chimoto, Slessor, Paul Banda and Lucius Banda will also perform at this year’s Sand Music Festival in Salima
Banda has since promised fireworks.
The Sunbird Sand Music Festival is Malawi’s hallmark event that draws together tourists, local people, business, youth, community organizations, media and visitors from all over the World on an annual basis to celebrate the Malawi’s’ s richness, diversity, dynamism and heritage.
Since its inception 10 years ago, the Sunbird Sand Music Festival has grown in visitor numbers and now counts as the largest event of its kind in Malawi.
