President Lazarus Chakwera has left the country for Zimbabwe on a two day visit.

Briefing reporters before departure at Kamuzu International Airport, Chakwera said there is need to strengthen the relationship between Malawi and its neighbouring countries.

He has indicated that the visit will be an opportunity to ponder how best to improve trade, particularly industrialisation.

Chakwera will be in Zimbabwe for two days.
