The Lilongwe Regional Immigration Office has deported eight foreign nationals for overstaying in the country.

Regional Immigration Public Relations Officer Inspector Ealack Banda has confirmed adding that the eight breached section 21(1) of the Immigration Act.

Among the deported are 4 Zimbabweans, 2 Chinese nationals and one Egyptian.

2 weeks, the department also deported three foreign nationals from Ghana, Egypt and Tanzania for staying in the country without proper documents.

Meanwhile, the Department of Immigration has warned all foreign nationals living in the country illegally that they will be deported once found.
