On 1st October, 1960 Nigeria freed themselves from the clutches of British Colonial rule.
The first day of October of every year has therefore been set aside in celebration of such a historic feat.
Today therefore marks the 60th Independence day of the most populous country in Africa. Nigerians as part of the celebrations have taken to social media to share their opinions on how far their country has come after 60 years.
Rather than praising their country, most Nigerians have rather used it as an opportunity to troll their own country citing poor leadership as the main reason for their trolling.
Here are some of the hilarious reactions to Nigeria’s independence day celebrations.
