The German government has donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worth about K45.8 million to the Ministry of Economic Planning, Development and Public Sector Reforms.

The consignment will help government officials who will be working in 28 districts during implementation of the urban social cash transfer programme.

The programme was expected to cushion 185, 247 beneficiaries with K35 000 per beneficiary for four months.

Germany Deputy Head of Mission, Sabine Lindemann, who is also Head of Development Cooperation, said her government was committed to supporting Malawi in any disaster response programme.
