As things continue to unfold in the once mighty Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), Chris Michael Thaulo has resigned as the party’s member and Deputy National Publicity Secretary.
In a letter made available to Face of Malawi, directed to Secretary General Office, Thaulo cited the current situation in the party as the reason prompted him to reach the conclusion.
“With a heavy heart, I regret to announce that I have decided to resign as the Deputy National Publicity Secretary with immediate effect,” said Thaulo.
According to Thaulo, it has not been easy for him to make the decision considering that DPP has been his dream party ever since.
“As a young politician full of modern political ambition, I have realized that the current environment in our party is not conducive,” he said.
He further thanked the part’s president Peter Mutharika for trusting him with the position, as he also congratulated those newly appointed on different positions.
“I believe that discipline and order in every group is of paramount importance. No individual is greater than the party. Hence this is a good decision,” he stressed.
He therefore, promised to continue praying for the party so that its lost glory should revamp.
