Minister of Agriculture Lobin Lowe has said government will launch the Affordable Input Programme next week.

Lowe has told Parliament that so far, the programme has 160,000 metric tonnes of fertliser.

He further said once the programme is launched, distribution will proceed to hard to reach areas such as Chitipa.

Affordable Inputs Programme (AIP) intends to assist small scale farmers in the country to buy cheap farm inputs such as fertilizer and seed.
