Chief Commercial officer for Medical Aid Society of Malawi (MASM) Andrew Ngomwa has been arrested for defiling his sister’s 14 year old child.
According to medical reports, the girl has also been infected with Human Infection Virus (HIV) a virus which causes AIDS.
Reports on the ground indicate that Ngomwa was staying with his niece at his house hence the opportunity to force himself on the innocent girl.
The news busted when the girl went back to her mother’s place where she (the girl’s mother) noticed that her daughter was looking weak and sick.
Without hesitation, the mother took her child to the hospital where tests revealed that the girl had been infected with HIV.
After being questioned, the girl revealed that her uncle whom he was staying with had raped her.
Ngomwa apologized over the rape after a family meeting but the girl’s mother went on to report the matter to police.
To evade arrest, Ngomwa took an official MASM vehicle and fled into Mozambique where he was arrested.
MASM is yet to release a statement over the arrest of its Chief Commercial Officer.
