A 32 year old woman in Dedza with three kids has returned to school after eight years in marriage.

The development comes barely two weeks after Minister of Education and Science and Technology urged girls who got pregnant during COVID-19 holiday to go and report for classes ahead of PSLCE and MSCE exams.

The woman identified as Sauda Kamanga dropped out of school in Dedza in 2004 and she got married.

Speaking in an interview Kamanga said education is the only key to helping avert poverty.

She then urged girls not to rush into marriage.

“Don’t rush into marriage. Concentrate on your education. Attain economic independence,” said Kamanga.

Kamanga will join Mtakataka secondary school where she hopes to resume studies in form 3.
