The Director General (DG) of the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (Macra), Henry Shamu, has urged social media users, especially young girls, to be cautious in their use of the internet.
Shamu was speaking during the signing ceremony of Plan International’s “Free to be Online,” petition, which aims to end cyber bullying.
The Macra DG has thus signed the petition to regulate online harassment.
In a bid to fight against cyber bullying of young girls Plan Malawi also unveiled Mary Chilima, spouse to Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima, as Ambassador for ending cyber bullying and online harassment.
