The founder and Managing Director for General Vision Screen Printers (GVSP), Comrade Dr Festone Kaphanya has urged people in the country to start doing business before asking loans from government.
Speaking in an interview, Comrade kaphanya observed that some quarters of Malawians blamed Government for failing to reimburse soft loans to them to start doing business.
“Most people receive loans to feed their family not to do business and what they think is that loans are for free without thinking that loans revolve funds,” he said.
Comrade cautioned people that once they receive loans and fail to pay back they can lose property and goods in the process.
But Chairperson for Zingwangwa Market, Ishmail Kondoni said vendors in the country face a lot of challenges like getting loans from Government as capital to boast Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
“People need loans to have capital to boast their businesses,” he said, concurring with Blantyre Flea Market Chairperson Robert Nyazombe Banda.
