A 15-year-old boy from Mulanje has died by suicide, police spokesperson Gresham Ngwira confirmed.
According to Ngwira, his motive is not known.
It has however been established that on Wednesday night this week, he had gone to bed at around seven.
He woke up about four hours later complaining of a toothache and left his friends asleep after telling them that he was going to inform his mother of his ailment.
Ngwira further explains that the deceased did not return to bed and was found the following morning hanging to the roof of an uncompleted house located within the compound he lives in.
Meanwhile, investigations are underway to establish the reasons behind this.
