A 20-year-old form four student has allegedly committed suicide following an argument with his mother.

The incident is reported to have happened in a Kenyan town of Kisii on Thursday, October 15.

According to local publication, K24, Nehemiah Mogaka, who is a Form Four student at a local school, took supper upon returning home. However, he had a stick of chamba (Indian Hemp) in his mouth, prompting his mother, Evelyne Mogaka, to question him.

The resultant argument, Evelyne says, could have pushed Mogaka into suicidal ideation.

“After our quarrel, my son left for bed. However, today morning (Friday, October 16), while at the market in Kisii Town, I was called and told that my son’s body was found hanging from a rope tied to a tree near our home,” said Evelyne Mogaka.

Nehemiah’s body was taken to a morgue for preservation awaiting burial.
