An unidentified man has died after being stricken by a car along Kamuzu Procession road in Lilongwe.
The incident occurred yesterday evening just after Mtima Woyera Parish.
A Mercedes Benz Van was being driven by 49-year-old Harrison Buleya heading from Marshal towards Lilongwe CCAP Church.
Soon after passing Mtima Woyera Parish, Buleya’s vehicle hit an unidentified man who was crossing the road from left to right.
The pedestrian, due to an impact, was pronounced dead on arrival at Kamuzu Central Hospital as a result of severe head injuries and a fractured femur.
Meanwhile, the body is still being kept at Kamuzu Central Hospital mortuary pending identification.
