The 50-50 Campaign Management has hailed President Lazarus Chakwera for making balanced judicial appointments.
This comes as Chakwera yesterday appointed High Court judges which has seen women being equal to men.
Speaking to MIJ FM team leader for 50:50 campaign, Viwemi Chavula has applauded Chakwera for being responsive in empowering women.
Chakwera has appointed six women and six men in the latest appointments.
For Justices of Appeal, there is one woman, Ivy Kamanga and three males Healey Potani, John Katsala and Charles Mkandawire.
In the High Court, Chakwera has promoted High Court and Supreme Court registrar Agnes Patemba and other judicial officers Justus Kishindo, Violet Chipao, Anneline Kanthambi, Vikochhu Chimamzende Mvula and Simeon Mdeza to judges.
The others are Masauko Msungama, William Yakuwawa Msisk, Maureen Kondowe, Mandala Mambulasa as well as Charlotte Wezi Malonda.
Chavula has further hailed the Judicial Service Commission for recommending women for the landmark appointments.
