President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera will attend a public lecture organised by the country’s Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima to be held at Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC) on Friday.
State House Press Officer Brian Banda has confirmed of the development in a statement released few minutes ago made available to faceofmalawi.
According to Banda, Chakwera is expected to arrive at the venue at 6pm.
“His Excellence the President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera will this Friday 30th of October attend a public lecture entitled “The Mindset Change” by the State Vice President Dr. Saulso Claus Chilima at Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC),” reads in part the statement.
Chilima’s event collided with Chakwera’s cocktail event at Kamuzu Palace in the capital Lilongwe.
The development forced the President to cancel the cocktail where he was to host women of professional, according to media reports sourced by this publication.
