The case Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary in South Africa resumes today.

This is because on Monday, Magistrate Thandi Thelede said she was unavailable on the other days of this week.

Magistrate Thelede noted with concern that there were a large number of people outside on Monday who were not social distancing.

She stated she cannot risk having large crowds outside without sufficient time to attend to the matter.

The couple and a third-accused, Landiwe Ntlokoane, are facing charges of fraud, theft and money laundering of over R100-million.

Two weeks ago, Mary Bushiri was arrested by the Hawks while her husband and Ntlokoane handed themselves over.

The accused remain in custody during this time.
