Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary of Enlighten Christian Gathering (ECG) church will spend another weekend in police cell after the court adjourned the case to Monday.
Bushiri and his wife were arrested two weeks ago and was charged with three counts namely; theft, money laundering and fraud.
Today the two appeared before the court for a continuation of bail hearing which was postponed on Monday this week
Bushiri’s followers gathered outside the court praying to God to intervene on the matter.
Two days ago Bushiri’s followers in Malawi asked the Tonse Alliance government of Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to intervene on the matter by repatriating him back to Malawi.
But government is yet to respond on the matter.
