The Public Affairs committee (PAC) of Parliament yesterday interviewed Reverend Vasco Kachipapa for being appointed as Board Chairperson of the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC).
In an interview after the hearing, Rev. Kachipapa described the hearing as a right move to appear before the Committee for the Members to be assured as to who should be part of the board which he said is for the sake of citizens of Malawi.
Meanwhile, Pac Chairperson, Joyce Chitsulo has indicated that the appointing authority has withdrawn one of the appointees, Alekeni Menyani, who is expected to replaced.
The Committee has since heard from Dr. Limbikani
The Committee is expected to conclude its meeting today (Friday) where it is expected to hear from three more appointees.
