Legendary Scottish actor, Sir Sean Connery has died.

Sir Sean Connery who was 90, at the age of passing is said to have gone peacefully in his sleep.

Sir Sean Connery will forever be in the history books for his portrayal of James Bond.

He was the first to bring the role to  the big screen and he went on to appear in seven of the spy thrillers.

His son disclosed that he had been unwell for some time and he passed on peacefully in his sleep in Bahamas.

Sir Sean Connery boasts of an illustrious acting career, which spanned on for 5 decades.

In 1988,he won an Oscar for his role in  The Untouchables.

He went on to appear on The Hunt for Red October, Highlander, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and The Rock.

Despite gaining legendary status, Sean Connery had humble beginnings, his father worked at the rubber mill while his mom was a cleaner.

At 17 he was drafted into the Royal Navy, but he was discharged three years later due to a serious case of ulcers.

He returned to Edinburgh and worked a variety of jobs, including as a lifeguard, bricklayer, coal shoveler and coffin polisher.

He took up bodybuilding and placed third in the 1950 Mr. Universe competition

In 2000, Sean Connery was knighted then 2006. He also received the American Film Institute’s Life Achievement Award and have a witty acceptance speech saying

“I’m more than pleased you like my work,

I have to admit it looked pretty damn good from where I was sitting.”
