A 30-year-old man in Namibia surrendered to police on Tuesday morning after beating his wife with a hammer on the back of her head, killing her instantly at Okahandja Park on Saturday.
Police spokesperson deputy commissioner Kauna Shikwambi told The Namibian on Tuesday that the man turned himself in at Wanaheda police station.
He is set to appear in court on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, a woman (28) was also hacked to death with a panga allegedly by her 37-year-old boyfriend on Saturday at Oohamba DaNehale Informal Settlement in Windhoek.
According to the weekly crime report released on Sunday, the suspect was arrested and the next of kin for the deceased were informed.
Police investigations continue.
