Guards at Mzuzu Coffee are on strike alleging failure by management to pay them their salaries since 2017.

According to some of the guards, in over three years, they have only received their salaries in four months and that when they try to find out, they are sometimes given advance payments of not more than K20 thousand.

They have since threatened to continue with their sit in if the authorities do not resolve their concerns.

According to Zodiak, workers are also outside demanding payment of their salaries for 21 months.
