State President Lazarus Chakwera has arrived in the Northern region to acknowledge people from the region for their overwhelming support they rendered to him during the fresh presidential elections.
This is Chakwera’s first visit in the region after being elected as president of Malawi following the fresh presidential elections that took place on 23 June this year.
However the president did not address a gathering at Katoto roundabout despite a multitude of his party followers and some members of Tonse alliance waiting for him for about four hours.
