A self-professed prophet Madzibaba Simba whose birth name is Simbarashe Mutsindiri allegedly raped a congregant at her house where he was invited to conduct prayers.
The Chitungiza based Madzibaba Simba who is 24 years old is reported to have taken advantage of one of his clients (name withheld to protect identity) when he got an invitation to come and help her with prayers at her place.
The publication established that the victim was having life problems and had called Madzibaba Simba to intercede for her.
Madzibaba Simba is said to have proposed love to the victim which she, however, turned him down.
On that particular day which is reported to be the 22nd of September 2020 at around 1 am, the accused is said to have sat on the victim’s bed very close to her, kissed her, and forced her to lie on the bed before trying to rape her once.
According to a local publication H-Metro, Madzibaba lifted the victim’s skirt and when the victim screamed for help Madzibaba Simba without fear of the people surrounding that area, forcefully tore the victim’s skirt and had unprotected sex with her.
The case was reported and Madzibaba Simba appeared before magistrate Morgan Nemadire at Chitungwiza Magistrate Courts.
