ZIMBABWE – Patrick Musyoka, a garments vendor said he met Muthoni, 22, three weeks ago at a bar, wooed her, and since then, they have been living together as husband and wife.
Muthoni is said to have cunningly cut out her plan for theft and the final move she made was to pressure Musyoka to give her money to “go visit her parents.”
Despite the pressure, Musyoka forked out the money but wondered why the woman would want to rush home after three weeks without any emergency.
On Musyoka leaving for work, Muthoni quickly packed off all household items which included a bicycle, woofers, television set, a phone and a bale of clothes and she immediately jumped on a hired tuktuk and sneaked away with the goodies.
Musyoka was so shocked after he returned home in the evening only to find his house empty. He was welcomed by coldness, echo of his footsteps and cockroaches that were crisscrossing the sitting room and the kitchen.
The distressed man quickly sought the intervention of native doctor to help recover his items.
