Synod of Livingstonia has advised president Dr. Lazarus Chakwera not to bow down to pressure from the international community on the issue of dicriminalising same sex marriage.
The synod through it’s newly appointed General Secretary William Tembo, have said this during a courtesy meeting the synod had with honorable Enock Chihana president for AFORD today.
And in his speech Enock Chihana president of AFORD says as a believer he thought it wise to involve the faith community in his endevours.
Chihana has since promised to deliver all grievances northerners have for the president to address.
He has also congratulated the newly appointed Livingstonia synod general secretary Reverend William Tembo, for emerging victorious.
According to the synod the act is an abomination that a country like Malawi is not supposed to involve herself in.
Likewise, Reverend Zac Kawalala of Evangelical faith community called on government to refrain from bowing down to pressure from international community.
Meanwhile, the synod has also asked right honorable Chihana to present to the president the issue of Njakwa livingstonia road which for decades has been a campaign tool for politicians.

And the Livingstonia synod was represented by : the General Secretary. Rev. William Tembo, Deputy GS. Rev. Jpv Mwale and General treasure Mrs Yavumba Nyasulu.
