State President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has departed for South Africa, for a two day working visit.

Speaking on his departure at Kamuzu International Airport the President said key on his agenda will be issues of trade . The President described South Africa as a key trading partner in the SADC region.

Chakwera also said that during his visit he will discuss with his counterpart Cyril Ramaphosa unresolved labour issues for Malawians who worked in the mines three decades ago.

The Malawi Leader further said in his discussion with the South African President they will also tackle issues of the welfare of Malawians living in that Country.
