Businessman Thomson Mpinganjira returns to court today in Blantyre for continuation of the attempted judge bribery case.
The case was adjourned two weeks ago to allow for transcription of phone conversation audios that were presented as evidence by first state witness, Judge Michael Tembo.
The break also accorded the defence and prosecution ample time to discuss grey areas in Mpinganjira’s plea bargain request.
Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Mpinganira in January in connection with a suspected attempt to bribe a panel of five judges presiding over the country’s presidential election vote-rigging case.
