NIGERIA – A 22-year-old student at the University of Benin who was rapped and murdered at a Redeemed Christian Church of God in Benin City has been laid to rest today.
Reports indicate that during the COVID-19 induced lockdown in May 2020, Uwaila ( the deceased) had gone to read her books at the church but she was attacked, raped and she died later at a hospital.
This act angered many Nigerians and in August six suspects were arrested.
