The Malawi Police Service (MPS) has dismissed vacancy recruitment rumors that is making rounds on social media.

According to James Kadadzera, National police spokesperson police recruitment vacancy is not yet out.

“The Malawi Police Service would like to bring to the attention of Malawians and prospective applicants in particular that the police recruitment vacancy is not yet out,” said Kadadzera.

He further advised the general public and prospective applicants that they should disregard the vacancy.

“The vacancy announcement making rounds on social media is fake and should be disregarded in all its entirety,” added Kadadzera.

He went on cautioning the spellings used in the vacancy saying that it is indeed fake.

“Even the spellings can attest to the vacancy announcement being fake,” Kadadzera hinted.

He therefore assured the general public that police vacancy will be released soon and it will be available in all public domain.

“A fresh vacancy will be released soon and the general public will be notified through radio, TV and newspapers as has always been the case,” he said.

Earlier this year Malawi Police cancelled a recruitment process which was initiated under the then ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) alleging that there was massive corruption in the process.
